What were instore donations?
We were offering a trial of raising donations when you shop instore with a limited number of retailers. We have made the decision not to continue with this for now and are focussing on some other larger fundraising projects which will be released in the coming months.
If you have made any purchases instore with retailers, you won't be able to claim a donation.
To claim your online donations, you will still need to shop through either the easyfundraising app or website or use the Donation Reminder.
What happens with the card details I registered?
N.B. Card details were registered and held completely seperately from the paymebt details for your cause and cannot be used to claim your donations for shopping online.
Reward Insight are the third party we used to manage and offer donations from shopping instore with a very specific list of retailers. Below is a statement from Reward Insight regarding the handling of your card details now that our agreement with them has ended:
For Reward, integrity, honesty and fairness come before anything else, including financial gain. Fundamental to this principle is a commitment to robustly protect the personal data of our customers, potential customers, or employees that we either control or process. Personal data is kept secure (technically and organisationally) at all times and only accessed by authorised personnel on a ‘need to know’ basis. Reward are Level 1 PCI compliant.
To ensure Rewards compliance with the impending General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a dedicated programme team has been assigned with the responsibility for the implementation of all changes to the systems, processes and policies that govern the management of personal data and to ensure a focused privacy program. The GDPR programme is sponsored at Board level and Reward will ensure that GDPR compliance is attained by May 2018.
Personal data is only used for the purpose it was collected and is only kept for as long as is necessary. After this the data will be securely disposed of in line with our PCI and GDPR obligations.
If you wish for this data to be removed earlier than they are obligated to do, you will need to make a formal request through us. You can do this by sending us a query asking for your card details to be withdrawn from Reward Insight, please be clear within your message that this is what you need us to do. We will then pass on the relevant information to Reward Insight for them to process this request.
