Like price comparison websites, we make money through affiliate marketing. This means that retailers pay us commission each time a sale is made with them through our site and we pass at least 50% of this on to the cause of the supporter's choice.
The donation rate we show on our website is what’s paid to a cause when one of their supporters buys something from a retailer. There’s no charge for setting up on easyfundraising, for using our service or for getting your funds when payment takes place every three months.
For easyfundraising to run and expand we need income to do this. Some of this comes from the commission we get from retailers when supporters shop with them through us, but a big part of it comes from selling advertising space on our website as well as offsite in communications like our emails.
We use this money to run www.easyfundraising.org.uk, to help you raise more, to enable our referral schemes and of course to pay for other important elements of the business like our staff and research and development into improving the service we offer.
We don't hide the fact that we’re a profitable organisation, but we use these profits to invest in the future of the business – mainly in our staff and in new technologies – this is to make sure we can spread the word about easyfundraising as far and wide as possible and help raise far more than the £33 million we’ve raised so far.
If you want to know more about how we use the information you provide us, please review our Privacy Policy.
