For us to receive the commission payment that we use to pay the donation to your cause there has to be a connection from us to the retailer before you make your purchase. If your visit to the retailer isn't recorded in your easyfundraising account then we can't show we are the reason you shopped with them.
You can create this connection by:
- Visiting our website and then searching for and visiting a retailer to make your purchase
- Using a link from one of our emails
- Using the easyfundraising Donation Reminder to 'claim' the donation
- Using our App (on iOS or Android) to search for and visit a retailer and then make your purchase
To prevent you missing visits, here are some of the common issues and what you can do differently:
Are you checking the right date? Sometimes, if you're browsing before you buy, you might look at a retailer on several dates, please make sure you're checking for the right date when you try and submit a claim.
Did you go directly to the retailer when you shopped? If the answer to this is yes, there hasn't been a connection made between us and your visit to the retailer and therefore there is no visit recorded. We have a number of tools you can use to help you remember to use easyfundraising each time you shop, just click on the links below for more information.
Were you logged in to your easyfundraising account? If you were logged in to some one else's account, your visit will have been recorded on their account rather than yours. If you share a device that you shop on and you could have been logged in to someone else's account, you could ask them to check if they have received your donation. Alternatively, if you weren't logged in at all, there won't have been a connection to your easyfundraising account and this donation will not be added.
