How do I manage Donation Reminder alerts on selected brand websites?
The handy donation reminders that pop up on brand websites are the quickest way to raise free donations, but if you want to turn them off for selected brands just follow the instructions below:
- Click the "e" icon on your web browser to open the Donation Reminder
- Click the "Settings" tab
- Click "Shop Settings"
- Search for the shop you want to change
- You can then toggle notifications to on or off
How to turn off Search Engine Notifications for specific brands
When you're searching on Google or Bing, we'll let you know which brands will donate and how much. If you want to turn this off, just follow these instructions:
- Click the "e" icon on your web browser to open the Donation Reminder
- Click the "Settings" tab

- Search for the shop you want to change
- You can then toggle on or off Search Engine Donation Notifications
How to turn off Search Engine Notifications for all brands
If you would prefer to switch off alerts for all brands when you're searching on Google or Bing, you can do so following these instructions:
- Click the "e" icon on your web browser to open the Donation Reminder
- Click the "Settings" tab
- Click "Search Engine Notifications"
- You can use the toggles to turn notifications on or off for Google or Bing
How do I manage the alerts shown for brands on the Donation Reminder for mobile?
If you have installed the Donation Reminder for mobile then follow the instructions below to manage the alerts for specific brands. To install the Donation Reminder please complete the instructions shown for How do I enable the Donation Reminder for mobile? first.
Once you have the Donation Reminder for mobile installed, if you want to manage the alerts that you see for certain brands, you can manage this in the settings. To access the settings, go to Safari and touch the puzzle piece icon shown in the web address bar then select Donation Reminder and the Donation Reminder and taskbar will show on the screen.
Click settings from the bottom right hand corner, then 'Shop Settings'. From here you can search for the shop that you want to amend the alerts for, select them from the list shown and then use the on/off toggles to choose whether you see Donation Reminder alerts or notifications when you search with Google or Bing.
How can I set site access for the Donation Reminder?
So that the Donation Reminder can give you handy notifications every time a donation is available, you need to give us access to ‘On all sites’. If you don’t select this permission, we won’t be able to notify you of donations as you shop, so your cause might miss out on valuable donations.
How to give site access
- Visit easyfundraising
- Right click on the 'e' at the top right of your browser, and a dropdown menu will appear
- Click ‘This can read and change site data’
- Make sure ‘On all sites’ is selected
How do I enable the Donation Reminder for Android devices?
The Donation Reminder for mobile is now available for Samsung and Google Pixel devices using Google Chrome or Samsung Internet browser. We're currently working on a version for other brands of phone, which should be ready in the next few months.
Follow the instructions below to enable it on your Samsung or Pixel device, make sure you've got the app installed before you get started below, or you can watch a video here.
From the App on your Samsung or Pixel device, click on the icon in the top right-hand corner to access your account. Select 'Donation Reminder' - You'll see the red exclamation mark icon if you don't have it enabled already.
This will take you to a page to enable the Donation Reminder which shows you a video on how to use the Donation Reminder and a button to enable it
Click the button to 'Enable the Donation Reminder', then read and agree to the terms in order to continue.
The next screen gives details on how to enable the donation reminder, read these instructions carefully. When you're ready, press the blue "Open Accessibility screen" button.
This will open the Accessibility Settings screen. In here, you need to select "Installed apps" near the bottom.
Next you need to press "Donation Reminder"
Next, toggle the "Off" option at the top so it now reads "On".
Finally, your device will ask if you'd like to give the Donation Reminder full control of your phone. This is just to ensure the donation alert appears when needed — it won't control your phone or access personal information. To continue, press "allow".
That's it - you now have the donation reminder installed and can start turning your daily shopping into everyday magic! It's important to remember that the donation reminder only currently works on the Samsung and Google Pixel devices using Chrome or Samsung Internet browsers.
