If you no longer want to manage a cause on easyfundraising, you have two options:
- Close the cause account, or
-
Hand over administration to another supporter
Option 1: Pass the cause to another supporter
If someone else is happy to take over managing the cause, you can give them admin access instead of closing the account. This allows the cause to continue raising donations without interruption.
How to give admin access
- Go to the Admin Dashboard:
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/admin-dashboard/ - Select Manage Cause Settings
- Choose Admin Team
- Find the supporter you want to take over
- Select Invite next to their name
Once they accept the email invitation, they’ll become a Cause Admin.
You can then request the new admin to remove yourself from the Admin Team if you no longer wish to be involved.
What a Cause Admin can do
Once you become a Cause Admin, you can:
- View the cause dashboard (donations, analytics, supporters, and payments)
- Edit cause details (name, logo, and contact information)
- Update payment details
- Add or remove admins (including yourself)
- Request cause deletion (these requests are reviewed by our Support Team)
Important security checks
For sensitive actions like payment detail changes or cause deletion requests, our Support Team personally reviews and verifies every request before it’s processed.
Keeping everyone informed
Whenever a change is made to the cause, all admins are notified by email, so everyone stays in the loop.
Option 2: Close the cause account
If there’s no one available to take over, you can request to close the cause account by completing our Cause Closure Form.
To keep causes secure, this request must be reviewed by our Customer Support Team.
